Germany
The German population loves drinking tea. Initially, the country had more coffee lovers. However, with time tea has become an all-time favorite beverage. In many parts of Germany offering tea to guests is observed as a ritual. Apart from enjoying tea sips, Germans consider tea to be a health drink as well. Many health workers in Germany recommend drinking tea to cure certain ailments. Moreover, a lot of this country’s favorite tea varieties hail from the tea factories in Assam and Darjeeling in India.
Russia
Tea is a national beverage in Russia. Owing to the extreme cold that prevails in the country tea has become an important part of the traditional Russian culture. It is served in different manners --- Hot, sweet, and even cold. Many houses in Russia also serve tea as a dessert at the end of the meal.
Kazakistan
In Kazakhstan, tea has a special significance. Serving tea is a way of large family gatherings and group discussions. Since it brings all at one table it resonates unity, hospitality, and peace. Kazakhs drink tea by adding fennel and cardamom in it. Adding lemon and milk to the tea is a matter of choice for them.
UAE
UAE is predominantly a tea-drinking nation. The demand for tea is very high in the Gulf region. It strongly prefers Black Tea. In most meetings and gatherings, tea is mandatorily served.
Singapore
Surprisingly the tea-drinking culture is very much alive in Singapore. Black Tea is essentially served among hawkers and in public food courts with sugar and condensed milk.
Japan
Japan’s favorite drink is tea. It is surprising to know that tea is served free in many restaurants in Japan just like water. Japan ranks 11th in tea consumption per capita across the globe. It is a big part of their culture, hence it is essentially served on different occasions.
